Be inspired and moved as patients, families, staff and supporters share their life-changing experiences made possible by LLU Behavioral Health. Learn about the many opportunities to support LLU Behavioral Health  programs and make a difference in the lives of patients.

Though we miss seeing you in person as we have done the past 13 years, we look forward to sharing this important evening virtually. All of the gifts from this event will go toward providing scholarships to patients as well as support LLU Behavioral Health's continued response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

GUEST SPEAKERS

LEIGH STEINBERG

Leigh Steinberg, premier sports agent, entrepreneur, best-selling author, and Chairman of Leigh Steinberg Sports and Entertainment Holdings, is best known for his work building athletes into stand-alone brands. He is often credited as the real-life inspiration for the Oscar-winning film Jerry Maguire. Leigh has represented many of the most successful athletes and coaches in football, basketball, baseball, hockey, boxing, and golf, including the number one overall pick in the NFL draft for an unprecedented eight times in conjunction with 64 total first round picks. With an unrivaled history of record-setting contracts, Leigh has secured over $4 billion for his 300+ pro athlete clients and directed more than $800 million to various charities around the world. Over the course of his career, Leigh has been featured on numerous national television programs, including 60 Minutes, Larry King Live, The Today Show, Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, and many more. He has been profiled in a host of magazines, including Business Week, Sports Illustrated, ESPN the Magazine, People, Forbes, GQ, and FHM. He currently resides in Newport Beach, CA.

 

DR. VERONICA A. KELLEY

Dr. Veronica A. Kelley, DSW, LCSW is the Director for the San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health and oversees the daily operations for both Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Services. Veronica is a member of the Governing Board for the County Behavioral Health Directors Association of California (CBHDA), serving as the President, she sits on the Executive Committee and serves as the Co-Chair for the Substance Abuse Prevention & Treatment (SAPT) Committee. She is also a Council Member to the California Behavioral Health Planning Council, Board Member to the California Mental Health Services Authority and Associate Member to the American Society of Addiction Medicine. In August of 2019 she was appointed by governor as a member of the No Place Like Home Program Advisory Committee. Dr. Kelley is a Professor at Mount St. Marys’ University teaching in the undergraduate Social Work/Sociology Department and an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Masters of Social Work Program at Loma Linda University Department of Social Work and Social Ecology. She earned her doctorate of Social Work (DSW) from Capella University, earned her MSW from the University of Southern California and her BS in Psychology and Child Development from Mount Saint Mary's College in Los Angeles.
